Oparanya who spoke on Saturday in Funyula, Busia County, during the burial of Funyula MP Paul Otuoma's son, Malcolm Otuoma said opposition supporters only need to register as voters and turn out for voting during polling day on August 8, next year.

"This time round, we will not complain that our votes have been stolen," he said.

"You responsibility is to register as voters and turn out on voting day. The rest leave to us."

Mr Odinga who contested against Uhuru Kenyatta in 2013 for the seat of President after the declaration of election results alleged that the polls were rigged in Uhuru's favour.

He filed a petition at the Supreme Court but the court upheld Uhuru's win.

In 2007, Mr Odinga again complained of vote rigging, a development he said denied him the chance to ascend to State House.

Odinga remains Cord's favourite presidential candidate to take on President Uhuru in 2017.
