The lawmaker said that Cord has no serious matters that it wants the government to grant them dialogue.

The MP added that the dialogue calls should be tackled through the already existing constitution channels.

“I still do not see the need for Cord's persistent call for national dialogue, their issues can be addressed through constitutional institutions,” he said.

Addressing journalists on Monday at Nakuru town, the lawmaker said that Cord should be serious and first put their house in order before seeking dialogue.

He added that the calls for dialogue should not be used to give ultimatums to the government stating that the Jubilee government was rightfully and democratically elected to office.

Ngunjiri at the same time condemned an incident in which government officials were booed and heckled during the burial of Raila Odinga’s son Fidel over the weekend in Bondo.

The MP termed the heckling as primitive saying that the government leaders must be respected by every Kenyan.

“It was wrong for some people to booed and heckle government officials,” he said, adding that the apology given by Odinga over the heckling was not satisfactorily.

Defence Cabinet Secretary Raychelle Omamo who read President Uhuru Kenyatta’s message at the burial was forced to cut it short after the crowd booed heckled and threw water bottles at her.

Kimani said that with such instances, the opposition cannot claim to be serious with dialogue saying that they must conduct themselves in good manner before calling for national dialogue.
