Wiper Party leader and former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka has urged members of the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy to support his sentiments on the nominations.

The Cord-co principal has maintained that consensus is the best approach the coalition can use in determining their flag bearer since elections are likely to create animonisty among delegates thereby weakening the movement.

The outspoken politician argues that elections are likely to lead to divisions among delegates, which is detrimental to the coalition as it looks forward to unseating president Uhuru Kenyatta from office in the next general elections.

“As a coalition, we do not have time to organise delegates. The moment you do that, you create an atmosphere of animosity. We know our strengths and weaknesses as Cord principals,” he told the Star.

He has also shown his readiness to support any other candidate as long as there is assurance to smoke Uhuruto from office come 2017.

“We cannot speak in absolute terms that Kalonzo has to be on the ballot. But if Kalonzo is the solution to deal with Jubilee’s incompetence, then we can also explore that route,” he said.

“Cord has shown clearly that we are together. These are the last moments for Jubilee. People should not be worried because we will stick together and nobody will tear us apart,” he said during another interview with Radio Jambo.
