Mr Odinga has led a mass protests against the electoral commission on two occasions forcing the police to use force to disperse protestors.

But Apoko, a controversial MCA who was once arraigned in court for allegedly abusing the head of state, on Wednesday faulted his party leader and urged him to follow the law.

“I love my party leader Raila Odinga so much and I want to urge him to cancel protests against IEBC scheduled on Monday’s across the country. This is likely to throw our country into a state of anarchy,” Apoko said.

“Sometimes it’s good to respect the rule of law. There is a clear procedure on how IEBC should be disbanded without necessarily igniting political fireworks," said Apoko.

"This is not the right time to prepare our supporters to engage in running battles that may culminate to violence. He should cancel the planned demos and follow the law,” he added.

“This doesn’t mean that I want IEBC because it has actually lost credibility. The commissioners should also be proactive by resigning peacefully," said the MCA.

"Jubilee should also join calls to reconstitute the commission for the sake of peace. But again, I don’t support protests again the commission,” he said.
