Kimani Ngunjiri of Bahati Constituency and Samwel Arama of Nakuru Town West have termed CORD`S threats as subversive to the Government but disguised in anti IEBC demonstrations.

The law makers have vowed to block attempts by CORD supporters to demonstrate in the county.

The legislators said this on Friday during the re-commissioning of the Youth Empowerment Program presided over by Public Service, Youth and Gender Affairs Cabinet Secretary Sicily Kariuki at the Kamkunji Grounds.

"We are ready to confront demonstrators because we know theirs is not a genuine cause," Ngunjiri said.

The legislators said they are going to confront the demonstrators through an alliance called "Nakuru Defense Forces".

Arama who is the only ODM MP in Nakuru County but who has since disassociated himself from the protests said he will back Jubilee coalition`s agenda in the next general election.

He challenged the opposition to pursue justice through the existing legal institutions.

Their sentiments comes just a day after CORD leader Raila Odinga vowed to lead CORD supporters back to the streets on Monday.
