A Senator on Thursday said it does not matter who carries Cord's flag during the 2017 polls as long as the opposition remains united.
Vihiga Senator George Khaniri said Jubilee can only be sent home if Cord uses the strategy that Narc employed in sending home Kanu in 2002.
"It doesn’t matter whether it is ODM leader Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper), Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) or Moses Wetang’ula (Ford Kenya)," he said.
"This is what I have been advocating for the last three years."
He said Cord co-principals should embrace ANC leader Musalia Mudavadi since his contribution to the coalition cannot be wished away.
The Senator criticised a section of opposition leaders who have already labelled Mr Mudavadi a mole sent by Jubilee to rock the Cord boat.
Khaniri reiterated that defeating an incumbent is difficult adding that a united opposition is the only weapon that can defeat President Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017.
Mudavadi is expected to launch his campaigns officially on Saturday to market the opposition Super Alliance.
He will tour Busia, Kakamega and Coast regions to market the alliance.
