In what seemed to be a follow up on their strongholds, Cord leaders took their campaigns to Garissa in which Garissa political analyst, Joseph Meli says Cord seeks to ‘wash’ away Jubilee’s impact in Garissa.
He said their visit to the region is to minimise the impact and dominance of Jubilee presence and remind the people of the North that they still ‘exist’.
“The visit to the region is basically political and to neutralize Jubilee from taking over one of their strongholds which Jubilee has recently being doing using goodies,” he said.
Jubilee has been currently visiting Cord strongholds and lavishing them with goodies and pledges to win their votes.
“That is a smart move Cord is doing otherwise they would lose out on their strongholds if Jubilee goes on with their trends to lure more people with goodies since people want action which Jubilee seems to be offering,” stated Meli.
