Speaking in Njoro yesterday during a function, Kiuna said students who show weird behaviors in school should not be spared.

“We cannot afford to see schools being burnt daily. It is a biggest loss in this country. We should know that, it's not all students who engages in burning of schools but very few. Corporal punishment should be introduced so that those few students who show indiscipline cases are severely punished,” says Kiuna.

The MP however challenged the school heads to cooperate with the students and address their needs wherever possible.

“Teachers should listen to the pleas of the students. They should work harmoniously as a team so that any problem that occurs is solved accordingly,” added MP.

Of late, more than 85 schools have been burnt countrywide and various leaders are looking for long term solution of the problems in schools.
