Bodies of twins were on Monday evening found outside a bar in Mlolongo, Machakos County.
The infants were wrapped in a huge yellow, polyethene paper bag and are suspected to have died due to suffocation.
It is said that the infants had not yet come to term and their mother had aborted them.
“I was shocked to see a baby’s head being pulled out of the bag by a dog. After keenly observing I realised they were two and I called passerby's,” said a resident of the area, Munyiva Makau.
The area chief, Joseph Mutua has strongly condemned this act terming it inhumane and against the law.
“We have had frequent dumping of aborted babies in this town and at the moment, we want to conduct investigations and arrest the lady who might be suspected to have done such act,’’ he said.
Mutual urged the residents of the area to report such incidences to his office immediately so that action can be taken.
‘‘We will arrest any suspect and I warn the people of my area that aborting will lock them behind cold bars,’’ stated the chief.
