The Governor also warned county employees against embezzling funds meant for development.

"I am always unhappy whenever Kisii county is being listed as one of the leading counties on matters corruption. I assure the electorate under this second term no money will be misused whatsoever," he said.

The Governor said that in his new term unlike the last one all officials in various departments will account for how they spend the money.

"Departmental heads should be keen on how the money will be disbursed to do various projects across the county. Any department found misusing funds will be held accountable," said Ongwae.

Ongwae urged MCAs to stop small fights and focus on developing their areas of administration.

"MCAs should know it is time to offer service to the electorate Let each MCA come up with projects that will be initiated and stop divisive politics aimed at frustrating the county in terms of development," said Ongwae.

The governor urged constituents to be vigilant and report any county staff who will be engaged in corruption.

"Members of the public should feel free to report any county employee engaging in corruption. A legal action will be taken to whoever found demanding bribes before offering services," he added.
