According to the MP, most traffic and NTSA officers solicit bribes from motorists instead of ensuring road safety.

"It is unfortunate that many drivers cause accidents because of drug and alcohol influence while police pick money from them and allow them to endanger people's lives," the MP said.

The legislator urged police officers and NTSA officials to shun demanding money from motorists.

"Traffic and NTSA officers should be satisfied with their monthly salaries and desist from asking for bribes from drivers who ends up causing accidents on the roads,"he noted.

The MP was speaking on Monday at Keringet AGC during the requiem mass for athletics administrator Kimutai Ngetich who died on August 30 in a road accident along Molo-Kericho road.
