Maangi on Friday said that revenue officers should maintain high levels of integrity.

"County resources should not be misused. Revenue officers must work to achieve the government's target in terms of levy collection without engaging in any form of corruption," he said.

The deputy governor assured that the county government of Kisii under the leadership of governor James Ongwae will protect the county resources, enforce the laws and collect revenue through taxes to enable them deliver services to all.

"Kisii county constituents pay taxes daily and, therefore, services should be improved. Road networks, schools, health centers should be given a facelift using the money collected as revenue," he added.

Maangi assured that the directorates of Revenue and Administration have come together and tasked the team to comply with, enforce and collect revenue within the law all with a cautious and respective attitude.
