Presidential hopeful and former Cabinet Minister Joseph Nyagah has lashed out at the Jubilee adminstration, accusing President Uhuru Kenyatta of failing to tame corruption.

“The people in power understand our weaknesses. That is why they can steal from us without fearing anything," he noted.

Speaking on Wednesday when he launched his presidential bid, Nyagah vowed to adequately fight graft in the country, noting that it is the single thing that has crippled the Jubilee adminstration.

“I want to restore Kenyans’ trust in leadership because I am sick and tired of hearing corruption everywhere. It has crippled the government,” he said.

“The endless strikes disrupted learning and led to deaths in hospitals. The factors that have prevented the country from solving this is simply the failure of leadership,” he added.

He further pledged to ensure that his government is all-inclusive, saying he will secure at least 50% of the top state jobs for women.

Until the announcement of his bid, Nyagah was President Kenyatta's advisor on regional integration.
