Reknown lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has now says the fight against corruption is in vain.
Talking on the JKL show on KTN on Wednesday, Ahmednasir said corruption has been with Kenyans for more than 50 years and there is nothing that can be done to stop it.
"Let us not waste time talking about corruption, it has been there for the past 50 years plus and nothing happens," he said.
Ahmednasir insisted that the corrupt are the ones in power and they have designed the system to tolerate their corrupt deeds.
"If you look at the richest Kenyans today, they are either former or current civil servants, it is people in power who are corrupt," he said.
The lawyer urged Kenyans stop the continuous narrative on corruption and engage in a productive thing that would benefit them.
He added that corruption in Kenya is easy to understand but cannot be solved.
"Let us not sing these songs about corruption, let us engage in more productive issues such as farming and looking after our cattle because the state is captured," he said
"Corruption in Kenya is not difficult to understand, it is people in power who do it and because these people in power control the system, they will not allow the systems to provide checks and balances," he added.
