Central Organization of Trade Unions (Cotu) Uasin Gishu County Chairman Peter Odima has put on notice employers who are under paying their employees.
Odima said it's sad that employers pay as little as Sh2,000 per month, despite the tough economic times.
"There are some employers who have created their own laws meant to infringe the rights of their workers, how can you pay someone Sh2,000 in this era?" he posed.
Speaking in Eldoret town on Tuesday, Odima said Cotu won't tolerate such individuals, warning that they will be arrested and charged.
"Employees being underpaid include maids, security officers, supermarket attendants among others," he claimed.
He however urged employees to join workers' unions for them to be defended fully in case their rights are violated.
