President Uhuru Kenyatta has ruled out the postponement of the August polls.

Speaking on Thursday at Londiani, Kericho County, the Head of State maintained that elections would go on as planned, accusing the opposition coalition NASA of deliberately sabotaging the election process.

"Enough is enough. We will not accept their attempts to postpone elections. We know their game but we will not allow Kenyans to be denied their democratic right to choose the leaders they want on the date stipulated by the Constitution," he stated.

His sentiments were reiterated by Deputy President William Ruto, who claimed that the Opposition was not ready for the August polls.

"If you want to lead Kenyans, you must go and ask for votes. You cannot trick or blackmail your way to rule the country,” he said.

The duo called on Kenyans to reelect them during the forthcoming polls.
