The High Court is scheduled to determine a matter before it on NASA leader Raila Odinga's presidential candidature next week Tuesday.

Pokot South MP David Pkosing filed a case asking the court to compel the Opposition chief to participate the forthcoming presidential repeat polls slated for October 26.

Mr Odinga withdrew his candidature for the top seat a week ago, citing lack of electoral reforms within electoral agency IEBC.

The Opposition is pushing for a raft of changes at the commission before agreeing to participate in the polls.

Key among the changes that NASA is demanding includes the removal of IEBC CEO Ezra Chiloba from office who they accuse of bungling the August general elections.

Last week, the court directed Mr Odinga and his deputy Kalonzo Musyoka to respond to the suit filed by Mr. Pkosing.

The lawmaker argues that the country could be plunged into a constitutional crisis should the Opposition fail to take part in the elections.
