The Council of Governors has responded to President Uhuru Kenyatta's list of cabinet secretaries made public yesterday.
Through its chairman Turkana's Governor Josphat Nanok, the council hailed the appointment of former governors; Peter Munya, Ukur Yattani.
''We welcome the appointment of former governors Ukur Yattani and Peter Munya into the Cabinet. This is a good thing as it will help improve and deepen the relationship between the county governments and the national government,'' Governor Nanok said yesterday.
Governor Kiraitu Murungi welcomed his predecessor's appointment into the cabinet, thanking President Uhuru Kenyatta for keeping his promise.
President Uhuru Kenyatta made public another list of his second-term cabinet secretaries after a long wait yesterday.
The list continues to elicit mixed reactions from Kenyans.
