Council of Governors have been urged to dialogue with nurses to end their over 3 months strike stalemate that has paralyzed services in health facilities.
National Executive Chairman Association of Kenya Medical Scientific officers Michael Wanga said it's time the Council of Governors and nurses resolve the issue once and for all since Kenyans are suffering."As we are talking the situation is unbearable since hundreds of innocent lives are being lost due to the prolonged nurses strike and no one seems to bother," he said in Eldoret town,Wednesday."The health sector has totally been crippled. Kenyans in the affected counties are suffering denying them health services is infringing their rights," he added.He reiterated that if they will not act at speed health facilities will be closed down. Wanga urged both the County and National governments to employ more laboratory specialists since the current number is a drop in the ocean.
