The Cabinet Secretary for Devolution Mr Mwangi Kiunjuri has been warned by the Council of Governors(COG) to "stop dictating" the county government on their transition to new administrations.

On Tuesday, Kiunjuri gave the official dates for the swearing-in ceremonies of governors-elect and the judges who will preside over the ceremonies.

However, the COG has claimed that by so doing Kiunjuri is over stepping his mandate and dictating terms for the county leadership.

According to Kiunjuri, Mombasa governor-elect Hassan Joho will be among the first county bosses to be sworn-in as from late August.
