After the Garissa University attacks by the terror group Al-shabaab that left many dead and hundreds injured, we have been having terror-related accidents, especially in our universities.
It started in Strathmore university where students sustained serious injuries after jumping out of the window following an organized 'terror scare' that turned tragic.
The organizers wanted to gauge the level of preparedness in case of a terror attack in the institution.
This was followed by another terror scare at Moi University main campus in Kesses, Eldoret where students sustained serious injuries after jumping from tall building after an explosion in one of the hostels that many mistook as a bomb.
Recently, another terror scare left both students and staff of Kenyatta University injured when they tried to escape from the library in what was mistaken as a terror attack.
This shows that there is lack of preparedness in case of an attack. County government should organise workshops on safety measures.
