The Uasin Gishu's Department of Health Services on Wednesday appointed a new sub-county health management team that will spearhead health coordination at sub-county level to improve service delivery.
In a meeting chaired by the County Executive in charge of Health Services Everlyne Rotich, it was noted that all facilities be reinforced with a revolving fund pharmacy to curb issues of the drug shortage.
Rotich reiterated that all the management team should ensure proper drug storage and make it a priority to ensure all staffs in the facility are on duty.
While giving policy direction on health service delivery, the County executive urged the team to set targets in order to improve health indicators.
The meeting also brought on board the Chief Officer Health services Wilson Kemei and Director Clinical Services Dr. Jones Cheruiyot.
