Christianity urges us to love one another and help the needy. However, in Nairobi you have to think twice before checking into your pockets to find something small to offer the street beggars.
Askaris in Nairobi CBD on Thursday, May 17 busted some fake beggars who had been pretending to have serious leg injuries and could not walk without the help of crutches.
The beggars had bandages wrapped all over their legs. The sad and haunting faces with which they look at you while begging for your small money won't give you peace should you pass them without dropping some few coins.
The askaris busted several beggars with fake burns who were in the line of duty to 'corn' unsuspecting Nairobians of their few coins.
Nairobians are advised to beware of pretending beggars who are all over the streets of Nairobi making a living out of their small money. This does not however mean that you stop helping but be sure whoever you are helping is really needy.
