Speaking at Eldoret town on Saturday, the MP said that the county must engage women in decision-making.

She said women are important and that their contribution is needed in development, adding that the constitution has given women a voice on matters leadership.

“My appeal is to Uasin Gishu county government to make sure that women are involved in development,” she said.

The women leader further asked the county to start programmes that will empower women economically.

She stated that women have the same rights just like their male counterparts when it comes to development matters.

On the same note, the representative urged women to seek development funds being provided by both the county and the national government.

She said that the funds will empower women and propel development if used wisely.
