Subukia’s Miroreni Member of County Assembly (MCA) Njoroge Muchiri wants the county government to improve the state of roads and other infrastructure in the ward.
The MCA has complained that the roads are in poor state and the condition is inconveniencing residents, especially traders.
Speaking to residents on Sunday, Muchiri said that many roads connecting to the area need to be repaired.
He observed that the roads are dusty and a risk to the health of the residents.
“Nakuru government should do something to our poor state of roads,” he said.
The MCA said that improving roads will open the ward to other parts of the sub-county and help traders move with ease.
Muchiri further urged the county government to install streetlights and CCTV cameras, saying that it will allow locals to conduct business on a 24-hour basis and at the same time guarantee their safety.
He said that traders are forced to close down their businesses early for fear of being attacked by criminal gangs.
The MCA noted that the county government has enough money which it should use to promote development.
He stated that residents are yearning for services which the county government should be willing and ready to provide.
The MCA urged residents to remain united and support local leaders to promote development in the sub-county.
