Residents of Kibauni ward in Mwala Sub-County have asked the county government of Machakos to ensure that the ambulances provided in the ward are well equipped to handle emergencies.
Led by Kyalo Mutiso, the residents explained that the ambulances have not been functioning for the past one month.
They claim that some of them have flat tyres and lack enough fuel thus making it hard for them to help during emergencies like road accidents and home emergencies.
"The ambulances given to the three areas in Kibauni ward among them Ikalaasa, Ngomano and Kibauni are not functional due to some having flat tyres and others lacking fuel.
As residents who are supposed to benefit from these services, we are very worried because we go through a lot of troubles during emergencies," said Mutiso.
The residents also challenged Mwala MP Vincent Musyoka to explain why some projects began under the CDF they say have stalled for long.
