Motorists, now want Ongwae's government to repair Daraja Mbili bridge that links the Kisii - Oyugis road with old Kenya power offices after it submerged in waters.
Those that spoke to Hivisasa said that the bridge was impassable due to a non-existent drainage system.
Mr Joash Okemwa, a bodaboda rider said that the County government should reconstruct the bridge and flatten the huge potholes around it.
"The county government should dig trenches that will collect dirty water to the river. When it rains dirty water floats on the bridge, which makes transportation of our customers difficult," he said
Mr Kennedy Okemwa, a taxi operator, said that the area MCA Duke Nyarang'o should oversee the tarmacking of the road that joins Daraja Mbili marketplace with Kisii - Nyamataro road.
"The potholes are making the road impassable and we want the Governor to intervene and assist us," he said.
Last year, the motorists allegedly planted nappier grass in the potholes in protest to the road's impassibility.
