Kiambu Senator has asked the county government to use the resources it has for the benefit of the people.
Addressing locals at Kabete town on Friday, Senator Kimani Wamatangi said the county has enough resources that should be used to improve the living standards of the people.
Wamatangi further said that the county must use wisely the funds allocated to it for the people to get basic services.
“Kiambu county government must use wisely the funds given to it so that the people can benefit,” said the senator.
Wmatangi observed that the main idea of devolution was to bring services closer to the people.
He said that devolution should be used to benefit and improve the living standards of the people.
Wamatangi also asked county leaders to unite and work together for the purpose of developing the county.
Wamatangi said that wrangles among leaders will only derail development.
“My appeal to Kiambu leaders is for them to unite for the sake of development,” he added.
Senator Wamatangi also urged leaders to desist making utterances that will divide the people on ethnic lines.
