The adjournment is to allow the MCAs train and prepare for the upcoming Kecoso games from August 16-23.

The adjournment motion was presented by deputy majority leader James Omollo and seconded by North Nyakach MCA Maina Koko.

The 35th edition of the Kecoso games will take place between August 9 and 17 in Eldoret, Uasin Gishu County. Various teams are set to take part across different sporting activities.

Kecoso is a sports organisation that brings together government agencies from the ministries of ICT, Transport and Infrastructure. It is also increasingly attracting participation from the private sector.

The games will attract participation from three key teams from both the Kenyan Premier League (KPL) and the National Super League (NSL) as has been the trend.

South West Kisumu MCA Joseph Otiende said that Kisumu County did well in the last Kecoso games. He added that training is very important.

Kisumu MCAs are set to go on recess from August 14 to September 14.
