Kisii county assembly has been petitioned to make sure the public funds which were corrupted according to the auditor general report are recovered and diverted to development projects.

The affirmative action group which is a non government group in Kisii County has wrote to the county assembly asking MCAs to investigate the report or have the county sued in 14 days's time.

The report signed by group chairman Thomas Nyandoro insists that the assembly has the sole obligation to ensure proper oversight on behalf of locals.

“We are asking the county assembly to follow the money and bring it back to be used in initiating projects because we are not seeing tangible progress,” the report reads

“We have given the assembly 14 days to comply or meet us in court because their work is to oversight  our funds. We cannot allow few individuals to embezzle public funds,” the report added.
