The County Assembly of Uasin Gishu has pledged to work closely with the executive arm of the county government in a bid to ensure quality service delivery to the people. The Assembly's leadership led by Speaker David Kiplagat and leader of majority Josphat Lowoi said a close working relationship between the two arms of the county government is key to the success of devolution.Speaking at the county hall in Eldoret town during the swearing in of the 10 County Executive Committee Members (CeCs), the two further pledged to support the development agenda of the county boss Jackson Mandago."As an Assembly, we will work to see to it that all the projects meant to benefit locals are implemented as we all have a duty to ensure quality service to mwananchi," said Kiplagat.Similar sentiments were shared by the leader of the majority who however insisted that the assembly will continue executing its oversight role objectively."As an Assembly, we can't run away from our responsibility of oversight. We know there's a thin line between malice and oversight but we want to give an assurance that we shall deliver our mandate objectively at all times," said Lowoi who is also the Karuna/Mibeki MCA.
