Nyamira County assembly plans to pass 26 bills before the next general election, deputy speaker Andrew Magangi has said .
Speaking on Wednesday in Nyamira town, Magangi said the assembly has already passed 16 bills, and the remaining 10 will be passed before their term ends.
“As county MCAs, we are devoted to ensuring the 10 remaining bills pending in the assembly are passed before 2017 because that is our work and the bills are with the different assembly committees,” Magangi said.
He urged county residents to petition the MCAs on the issues they want addressed before they pass the bills.
“We call upon residents to petition the county assembly on issues they want us addressed, it is your right," Magangi added.
The deputy speaker at the same time appealed to the residents to cooperate with the county to develop the region.
