Kisumu County Deputy Speaker Pamela Omino has threatened to take Wawidhi Ward Representative Moses Ochele to court for allegations that she is corrupt.
Omino said she was offended by the remarks Ochele made in the Assembly on Tuesday and later made a phone call to one of the vernacular radio station.
She vehemently denied ever sitting with the contractor, who was awarded the construction of the new Assembly building, to get bribes.
Omino said her conscious is very clear and at no point had she ever sat down to plan corruption in the Assembly.
“My name was dragged into corruption following my stand on the re-allocation, but Ochele must shed more light on this,” said Speaker Omino.
Speaking to the press in Kisumu, Omino said that her opposition to the re-allocation of the funds was based on some facts.
She dared MCA Ochele to further make those utterances in public if he is speaking the truth.
Omino said she is mulling moving to court of law to compel Ochele to provide evidence concerning the alleged corruption deals he associates her with where she was to be paid Sh5 million.
