Nyamira County commissioner Isaiah Nakoru has denied claims that he tolerates police laxity.

Further, he says,  nobody should dictate him on how to do his job. 

“I am pushing the officers to intensify security patrols in the region but I am worried hearing that I am the reason behind the laxity among the officers. 

Anyone who is not happy on how I am delivering my duties should come and take over from me,” he said.

The commissioner said for the period he has served in the county, crime has dropped.

He said no police officer is inexperienced as claimed by locals.

"We don't have rogue officers.  Let them do also their job. The small concerns will be fixed."
