Nakoru said chefs and their assistants should step up efforts to ensure all children reports to school Monday to Friday failure to which they will be sent home.

“Government representatives in location and sub locations should not compromise education. The new role I have given to chiefs is to ensure no child is at home during school time because the government is committed to offer education to every child for a bright future,” he said.

The commissioner also asked chiefs and their assistant chiefs to work closely with local health workers at dispensaries to report early pregnant cases among school going girls.

“The levels of early pregnancy in the county are also worrying, for this therefore, I am directing all administrators to give a report to the government on the number of pregnant school girls in their areas of administration after schools reopened for second term,” he stated.
