Nakuru County Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has hailed President Uhuru Kenyatta’s tour of the county alongside his deputy William Ruto, terming it a great blessing to residents of the region.

The two Jubilee leaders were on a two-day tour of the area which ended on Thursday and saw them launch a number of projects.

Through his official Facebook page, the Nakuru boss also promised to continue working with the national government in bid to serve the people.

"I would like to take this opportunity to humbly thank everyone here in Nakuru County for being great hosts to our country’s leadership both President Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto and all the other leaders who have been with us. This is an indication that we are ready to fulfill our promises to the public," read part of Mbugua’s message.

Among the projects commissioned by the President and his deputy include an interchange along road at Nyahururu turnoff- Njoro turnoff and Mau Summit junction, a multi-million Managed Equipment Service project at the Level 5 Hospital RVPGH and the construction of Dondori-Oljoro orok Road.

"Great strides have been achieved in those two days and I must say what we have witnessed will definitely go a long way in transforming the lives of the people of Nakuru in very many ways," Mbugua further stated.

Mbugua also called for support from Nakuru residents in their continued service to make the region progress.
