There was panic in Fedha Sub County after the county commissioner John Fedha collapsed while reading President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jamhuri Day speech. According to the Star, the incident left those in attendance confused.
It is, however, not clear why the county commissioner collapse before he completed reading the speech. He was later rushed to Bura sub-county hospital where he is still receiving treatment.
Confirming the incident, Area OCPD John Ogola said that assistant deputy county commissioner read the speech on his behalf.
In the meantime, President Uhuru Kenyatta has asked Kenyans to unite in building the nation. He was speaking at Kasarani during Jamhuri day celebrations.
“I call on all Kenyans to join me in proclaiming pride in our beloved country. Celebrate being part of a generation that will be remembered fondly by those yet to be born, for the achievements you will add to those of our forefathers,” he said, as quoted by The Star.
