A section of youths and political leaders from Machakos County are alleged to be organising a march which will see the county boss out of the office.

Speaking on Thursday outside her office during a press briefing Gakuri termed the act as unconstitutional.

“Let us not be quick to judge the governor let us wait for investigations,” said Gakuri.

Gakuri further said that there is no law that allows members of public to evict a leader from the office.

“I caution the individuals together with political leaders from taking the law on their hands. A person is innocent until proven guilty. There is no law that gives permission to force an elected leader out of office,” said Gakuri.

Gakuri gave a stern warning to the political leaders inciting the youths to engage in protest forcing the county boss out of office.

This follows heightened security situation on Wednesday in Machakos town following an alleged plan by several leaders led by Deputy Governor Bernard Kiala to demonstrate to governor’s office.

The demonstration was aimed at forcing Dr Mutua out of office due to corruption accusations he is facing.
