North Mogirango constituency MP Charles Geni has demanded that County Commissioner Josephine Onunga should be transferred due to the rise of insecurity.
Speaking on Wednesday at the funeral of the deceased couple in Bokeira ward who were brutally murdered and set on fire last week, Geni said that if the commissioner has failed to keep Nyamira, and particularly North mogirango, she has to leave.
"There is no need of having a commissioner who is not delivering by keeping our people safe, we can't be having burials of our murdered people by criminals while the commissioner is sitting without taking a step," said Geni.
This comes at a time when insecurity cases have risen in the county, with even the MCAs demanding that the commissioner has to go.
The MP vowed to organise a demonstration to the county commissioner's office to force her out due to her 'relaxation' in discharging her mandate of providing security.
Geni also added that he has written a letter to Inspector General of police and the president over the issue, and is waiting for their response before he starts demonstrating.
