Uasin Gishu County Commissioner Abdi Hassan has revealed why there were no reported incidences of crime during the December festive season.

He said there was good cooperation between residents and security personnel at large.

“I want to congratulate Uasin Gishu residents for their good cooperation with our officers leading to a total reduction of criminal cases and also Kudos to my officers for the job well done,” he said in Eldoret town, Tuesday.

“We also deployed more officers who carried regular patrols to ensure that residents lives are not at risk,” he added.

He, however, declared war on criminals who are fond of terrorizing wananchi saying that their days are numbered and they will soon be brought to book.

“I  want to give a stern warning to gangsters terrorizing residents to either stop their actions or face the bullet. Our officers will intensify patrols in estates and areas that have been targeted by the gangsters. We will deal with you ruthlessly,” noted Hassan.

He called upon residents to act as their watchdog by reporting any person they suspect to be involved in crime.
