Appropriate mechanisms have been put in place to improve service delivery in Nakuru, county deputy Governor Joseph Ruto has said.
Speaking at his office when he hosted the US deputy ambassador to Kenya Isiah Parnell on Friday, Ruto said that the government is committed to ensure locals get quality and efficient services. He said that various development projects are ongoing in the county adding that the government is keen to ensure the welfare of the people is catered for.
He added, “The government will fulfil development promises it made to locals during the 2013 general election.”
Ruto said that they are focused on working to ensure socio-economic challenges facing the people are addressed.
The deputy county boss asked politicians to stop politics and work for the people to ensure their standards of living are improved.
“I want to ask politicians in Nakuru to work as a team as we strive to make this county one of the best in terms of service delivery across the country,” he said.
Ruto added that they will continue partnering with other countries across the world with the aim of seeking investments and development support.
On the referendum calls by Cord and the council of governors, Ruto said that the county is not supporting any group.
