Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has reiterated his commitment to supporting the socio-economic women initiatives in the county.
Speaking when he led a funds drive for 10 women groups in Kiamaina in Bahati sub county on Saturday, Mbugua said as a government, they would serve all groups in the county dutifully.
"We will continue to stand with activities that better lives for our women and all in our county. There will be no time we will say this is overwhelming, the people of Nakuru have given us a job and we will continue to serve them dutifully," he said.
He also lauded women groups in the area for setting a good precedent as self help groups through organising themselves for fundraisers to boost their activities.
This was the second time the county boss went back to Bahati in a span of two days, in what seems to be a charm offensive considering that his chief critic Kimani Ngunjiri represents the area in parliament.
Mbugua was in the area last Thursday during his outreach program.
