Youths in Kisii County have been urged to stop seeking jobs but instead, look to creating their own employment.
According to CS Culture, Sports, Youth and social Services Marcela Otuke the county would be offering training programs for entrepreneurs and urged them to take advantage of those opportunities.
Addressing youth in Kisii sports club, Otuke said that the county government sought to directly impact about 10,000 lives through various youth empowerment programs this year.
“Now is the best time for young people to take risks. The youth should take advantage of the youth funds and other government funds to create their own jobs,” said Otuke.
She also added that the county government was ready to give the youth the training needed to help them do business and create job for others instead of waiting for ready jobs.
“Jobs are scarce. Do not wait to look for jobs that are hard to find, make yourself your own boss through working hard and getting the right training,” said Otuke.
