Speaking during the issuance of cheques on Tuesday, Pauline Tuwei said that the funds will help complete existing projects in the wards.

“These cheques are meant for the construction and renovation of ECD centers, cattle dip, some are for water projects and improvement of wards polytechnics,” she said.

She added that the projects that are being funded are meant to improve the livelihood of the people in the wards.

Hillary Rono, Kipkenyo ward MCA said the county has shown its support in developing and improving livelihood of its residents.

Rono urged the national government to allow agriculture and education sector to be devolved to provide the people easy access to funding.

“If our National government will devolve education and agriculture sectors, the country will prosper,” said Rono.

Philip Melly, the County Executive trade further urged the residents to join Saccos and cooperative societies so that they can get easy access to funding.

“Going the cooperative society way is the only remedy for problems that have been facing farmers such as production and post-production cost thus increasing productivity,” said Melly.

So far the county has donated cash to different wards, and will continue to do the same in the remaining wards.
