Mandera county executive for Health Ahmed Sheikh has threatened to sue MCAs allied to the Economic Freedom Party, after they accused him of intimidating and threatening county employees.

Sheikh said the allegations by the MCAs made on Wednesday are false meant to mislead the public.

He said the county assembly members should concentrate to deliver to the people who elected them and not spreading mere propaganda and unfounded.

The official denied a claim by the MCAs that he is part of the team formed to deal with employees who did not vote for the county governor Ali Roba.

This is after the MCAs affiliated to EFP who are the majority in the assembly said the governor is using people to threaten county staff who voted against him during the August 8 polls.

The MCAs led by Takaba MCA Bishar Maalim, said the individuals who are working under instructions from Roba should stop intimidating county staff or they face unspecified action.

"Civil servants should not be intimidated  because of their political stand in the August polls", Maalim said.
