County Executive Committee Members (CeCs) kicked-off a two-days conference, dubbed: 'The County Executive Ministers Conference' at Kipsigis Girl's High School, Kericho County, Monday.
The Conference which ends Tuesday 6, December 2016, provides a platform for the CeCs from across the 47 Counties to highlight and deliberate on the technical aspect of Devolution, with resolutions being presented at the main conference for the adoption and action in the subsequent year.
"The Conference has been held conventionally for all the 47 County Executives over the last three years with all sector executives coming together for a two day conference with a main objective of consolidating all sector deliberations into one actionable document that feeds into the main Devolution Conference,'' said the Council of Governors.
The overall objective of the conference is to safeguard the gains, enhance the understanding and appreciation of devolution as a system of governance that focuses on public accountability, and learning new ways of socio-economic development and delivering services.
The theme of the Conference is: "Devolution Transformation".
