County ladies countrywide on Monday visited the Huruma tragedy scene and mourned with the families of victims from the collapsed building.
Led by Nairobi first lady, Susan Mboya, who is the wife to Governor Kidero, she said they were saddened by the tragedy which left hundreds of tenants homeless and others dead.
They visited the affected families at the Huruma Social Hall where they donated food stuff, sh200, 000 among other necessities.
"We are sorry for what befell you. We would like to assure you that during this difficult time, we are not going to abandon you," said Ms. Mboya.
The ladies urged the Huruma community to support the victims by encouraging them psychologically.
“I will personally follow up to ensure that all promises made by individuals and organisations are fulfilled," she added.
The rescue mission was called off on Sunday with operations being moved to Nairobi River to locate the still missing persons.
The survivors of the tragedy are still nursing injuries in various hospitals across the city.
Among the first ladies who came to mourn with the families were Lucia Kinuthia (Nakuru), Esther Rutto (Bomet), Sarah Tunai (Narok), Catherine Mueke (Wife of Nairobi Deputy governor Jonathan Mueke.)
