Addressing the press at her office, Ms Maina dismissed claims that due process was not followed in the leasing process.

She blamed some politicians of ill-motives, saying documents are available showing the leasing process.

“It’s unfortunate that some politicians are spreading false information on the leasing process of a piece of land given to Huduma centre,” she said.

The lands executive said that she will not be intimidated by politicians who want to taint her name and that of her department.

Ms Maina asked those aggrieved to seek clarifications before engaging in ‘propaganda and hate politics’.

The county minister blamed some politicians of leading a group of youths to demolish ongoing construction at the Old Town Hall where the Huduma centre is located.

Ms Maina said she will not be afraid of her detractors, adding that she is keen to serve members of the public without biase or favour.
