Kisumu County traders have challenged the county government to allocate funds towards improving stall in various markets.

Speaking on Friday at Bunge la Wanaichi at forum meant to improve the traders well being, the County voice spokesperson Audi Ogada noted that Kisumu needed to be improved as away of boosting working standards of traders.

Audi said that the county government should allocate funds to improve stalls the county’s markets adding that traders need an improved working environment to improve their work morale.

An improved working condition would see traders working extra-hard to improve the economy by enhancing self reliance, hence curbing high dependency ratio in our country.

“We need to improve the working condition of various traders by improving the stall system as we reside in tropics region making it very hot and sunny for traders to bare with while in open stalls,” noted Ogada.

The county Traders Association Representative Elias Ogutu also challenged the county government to allocate funds towards establishing modern market stalls to improve working conditions or environment for traders.

“The county government should improve traders working conditions to improve their morale hence quality produce and income to enhance good money flow in Kisumu County,” said Ogutu.
