Speaking to the media on Tuesday at Kikuyu town, the MP said that corruption is a threat to development and must be fought by every institution.

He said that many Kenyans have been denied services because of corruption and embezzlement of public resources.

“I want to challenge Governor William Kabogo to put in place strategies that will prevent corruption,” he said.

Ichung’wa further asked governors who have been named in graft reports to step aside and allow for investigations.

He lashed out at some governors who have refused to step aside yet they have been named in graft saying that they will be forced out.

The MP said that no one is above the law and that politicians must take responsibility of their actions.

The Kikuyu MP further called for more probe saying that some individuals are missing from the report yet they have history and claims of graft.

The lawmaker on the same time urged Kenyans to be upfront and support the government as it strikes to eradicate graft.

Ichung’wa said that time has come for the government to muscle out with individuals who continue to rob the country billions of shillings.
